2011

  • Christmas is always such an exciting time for the children! The Cristmas concert and all the fun activities around it have already become a tradition, and the children always lookforward with excitment to the fun week we plan for themtogether with our friends from Colorado. This year we did something different for the children. After we visited the zoo with them we made a fire and their American friends served them marshmellows. For some of the orphans this was the first time they had s’mores but the verdict was unanimos: they are delicios J.

It was so wonderful to see the children perform at the Christmas concert; you could see that they gave all their best to try to impress their American friends as well as their teachers and home parents! They were great!

Thanks to all who made this Christmas celebration posible!

  • Imola is our first highschool gratuate to get acepted tothe University! We are so very proud of her! Please keep her in your prayers as she is getting ready for a new life in a new city!

One of her biggest needs at the begining of the school year was a laptop, we are so happy and grateful to the people who understood this need and gave funds towards this! Thank you!

  • Another year, another wonderful camp! In the midst of beautiful nature 60 children from six family-type homes and 20from the orphanage in Zau experienced 5 amazing days at the camp from Lunca Bradului. The tems from the US and Romania prepared new and exciting activities every dayfor the children. From the morning exercise to the evening games the children were taught the importance of team work and friendship. During our Bible Time the children learned about thelove of the Father for the fatherless and were encouraged to seek a personal relationship with our Lord and Saviour!

We are grateful for the new memories and new friends we made this summer.

  • Katie’s and Karen’s visit this spring was one of this year’s highlights for the children. Thank you dear friends for loving the children as much as you do!

School is almost over so naturally the orphans are excited and ready for camp! Some of them have been asking about this year’s camp ever since last year’s camp was over. Pray that God will bless this year’s summer camp and that his provision and blessing will be over the US and Romanian team as they get ready to serve the kids yet another year!

  • This May five of the children graduated from high school and are standing now in front of decisions that will shape their future. Please pray for them as they take their first steps as young adults. For some of them graduation means having to leave the orphanage, get a job, or go to University. Whatever the path is we pray they will constantly be reminded of God’s never-ending love for them! Congratulations Imola, Mia, Florin, Marin and Calin we are very proud of you!
